Yoga has been very popular internationally and locally to improve people’s lives. Yoga helps building strength and keeps your mind healthier. The word Hatha originated from Sanskrit and means “force”. In this “yoga of force”, many physical postures are assumed along with breathing techniques practiced at different paces.
Here at Yoga Life Homestay, we teach Hatha Yoga in a holistic way. Thus, your teacher will help you find stability and control through different approaches: breathing techniques with Pranayama, muscle stimulation and flexibility with a large set of postures, and meditation throughout the lesson while focusing on both your breath and your body.
The surroundings of the homestay too are here to help you relax: just listen to the various species of birds singing, feel the warmth of the sun in the morning, the cool of the night and the gentle breeze of the wind!
Improved strength
Yoga helps build strength without compromising flexibility. Having a strong body helps you get through daily activities with ease. Practicing Hatha Yoga gives you a better ability to twist and bend while relieving the pain you might feel.
Healthier heart, lungs and body
A healthy heart is associated with a healthy and tension-free mind. Some poses improve the health of your heart by allowing the body to pump blood with more controlled intensity. Your lung capacity will drastically improve with both your teacher’s guidance and your own focus on your breath throughout the lesson. You’ll re-learn to breathe through your abdomen (calm and relaxing breathing, like the one of a newborn) rather than the chest (associated with panic breathing).
Yoga keeps you in a calm and peaceful mood which results in reduced tension.
Yoga is a powerful stress reliever!
Hatha Yoga also helps you be aware of the calories you consume: the various poses in Yoga can help you burn the extra calories you eat during the day and lower the body fat.
The physical pressure exerted on the muscles while performing Hatha Yoga activities will gently –but surely- tone the muscles and will help you maintain a healthy and more balanced body.
Improved immunity
A bad diet, sleep disorders, high stress and many other things contribute to a general poor body immunity.
Your yoga sessions at Yoga Life Homestay will help both your body and mind and improve your sleep. The healthy diet proposed here, combined with your yoga sessions will improve your body immunity and make you less susceptible to diseases.
