Paniyeli Poru is a calm and serene riverbank with a lot of rocks nearby that was shaped beautifully over the years with the flow of water. Visitors can trek the easy 1.5 KM distance along the path of the river that will ultimately take you to the waterfalls. There is also a safe place for crossing the rivers which will take you to the forest.

Abhayaranyam Eco-Tourism

Abhayaranyam is a center for orphaned wildlife located in Ernakulam. Several former wild elephants are bred here and can be seen bathing in the river.

Mulamkuzhi Waterfalls

The state of Kerala is rich with both small and large waterfalls. In the Mulamkuzhi Waterfall, located in the district of Ernakulam, visitors are allowed to bathe, swim and fish.

Kallil cave temple

Kallil cave temple is one of the oldest ancient temples in Kerala. The temple is cut out of a huge rock, and to reach it, one has to climb up 120 stairs.

Pettamala top station

Pettamala top station would make an excellent location for early morning trek. This old quarry was very active for several decades till the government closed it. Nature took over and now you can enjoy the impressive landscape and rocks. If you are lucky you can also find Neelakurinji flowers onsite.

Malayattoor Church

Malayattoor church is one of the eight international shrines in the world. Every year at Easter, thousands of Christians walk their way up to the top, day and night. It is believed that St. Thomas held prayer at the place where church is situated when he landed in Kerala and took the initiative to begin Christian community in Kerala. On your way up, you might even cross some curious monkeys!

Iringole Bhagavathy Temple

Iringole Bhagavathy Temple is dedicated to the child form of Bhagavathy. The goddess once assumed the form of a child to protect Lord Krishna from his uncle Kamsa. The forest surrounding it belongs to the goddess.
